Guided and Assisted Program

Seal South, Romeoville*

The Guided and Assisted Prgroam includes specialized classrooms to serve students who may have Autistic, emotional, behavioral or developmental needs. This program focuses on development of individualized success and independence. SEAL South, Romeoville develops IEP models consistent with the concerns of parents and shcool districs. The program will utilize a database system for periodic evaluation and programmatic description that can be objectively verified. Communications, sensory, and behavioral support systems are ciritcal elements utilized within these structures environments. A combination of functional academic learning, daily living skills and pre-vocational programming are individualized based on student needs. A single methodology is not representative of our practice. Instead, a combination of  TEACCH systems, SCERTS, Community based learning, job boxes, and individualized structures systems encances social/emotional and academic learning of each student. * The Guided and Assisted spectrum day program is provided only at the SEAL Romeoville location.
